NPP DECIDES: Oppong Nkrumah massively acclaimed by O/A delegates

The Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Saturday, June 20, 2020 received the endorsement of all 450 delegates from 25 electoral areas in the Ofoase Ayirebi constituency to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2020 parliamentary elections.

The early morning acclamation comes weeks after nominations closed in the constituency and saw the first-term MP as the only candidate to have picked forms to contest in the constituency.

The party is today [Saturday] holding its primaries in constituencies where it has sitting MPs across the country.

Ofoase Ayirebi is one of the few constituencies where there is no contest as only one aspirant is standing to seek the nod of the party’s constituency delegates to represent them in the December polls.

The constituency chairman, Emmanuel Obeng said the constituency is most pleased with the work of Mr. Oppong Nkrumah and believes that he will best represent the party in the 2020 polls.

“His humility and willingness to help have earned him a place in our hearts. For a young man to rise so fast to becoming Minister, he has brought honor to our constituency” he said.

Mr. Nkrumah thanked the delegates and promised to keep working hard for the NPP in the constituency.
