Work is progressing steadily on the 36.2 kilometer stretch of road from Ofoase Ayirebi to Oda in the Eastern Region.
With 20 kilometers of the road already tarred with bitumen, work has begun on the final 16.2 kilometers.
Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ofoase Ayirebi constituency, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah together with the MP for Oda, Akwasi Acquah, Asene/Manso/Akroso MP, George Kwame Aboagye and Achiase MP, Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo on Friday, August 26, 2022, inspected the progress of work on the stretch of road.
The inspection formed part of routine assessment of road construction works in their various constituencies.
The MPs expressed utmost satisfaction at the progress and quality of work done so far, indicating that the road when fully completed will ease the stress of drivers and passengers.
They gave the assurance that government under its much-touted Year of Roads Agenda is committed to the completion of the road and other roads within their constituencies.
The road project is being executed by Erdmac Company Limited, Ghana.
The Resident Contractor, who conducted the MPs around the ongoing construction said prima sealing works, barring any challenge are programmed to be completed by the end of October this year.
He said the full stretch of the road will be fully opened to motorists once the prima sealing is done.
