Member of Parliament (MP) for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah as part of his plan of improving healthcare delivery in the constituency has provided medical equipment and assorted drugs to 8 health facilities in the constituency.
In his brief remarks during the donation exercise, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah said the provision of the equipment is part of his vision to transform the health service in the constituency.
He noted: “the next phase will be the provision of critical medical logistics in these medical centers. Today, we are pleased that in collaboration with our donor partners, we are pleased that in collaboration with our donor partners, we are making available medical equipment of various categories to the tune of about GHS200,000.
“It includes delivery beds for our sisters and mothers who are in labor, patients lift for those who are not mobile, IV kits, operation kits, wheelchairs, hundreds of thousands of gloves and bandages, masks, and lab test kits. It is our dream and our vision that we will significantly improve the state of medical care in this district as we go through this phase of medical projects,” he added.
A beneficiary nurse who could not hide her joy heaped praises on the MP who made the donation possible and urged him to continue the good work as such interventions are unprecedented and are rarely witnessed in the constituency.
